Located in the heart of one of Australia’s fresh produce hubs, the Brisbane Markets, Alfred E Chave are equipped to provide critical logistics support to growers, large scale wholesalers and retailers.

It is our role to facilitate and support the management of your refrigerated fresh produce supply chains. Our facilities comprise of 4,000sqm of cold storage with multi-level temperature zones with >1200 pallet capacity.

Working with Growers

We dedicate ourselves to working closely with growers and suppliers to ensure that the best outcome is achieved for all partners in the supply chain.

We handle paperwork, invoicing, payments, levies and processing orders, streamlining the administrative process for growers.

Collectively our sales team has over 300 years’ experience in the produce industry. This experience underpins our day to day operations to maintain our relationships with growers and customers.

Warehouse & Facilities

  •  > 4,000m2 of refrigerated warehousing

  • B-Double access all weather loading/unloading through 4 refrigerated sealed docks enclosed for delivery and receipt

  • Cross docking facilities to manage interstate and local transport

  • Storage in state of the art, high humidity cold storage with temperature zones ranging between 2°C and 16°C 

  • 8 separate refrigeration zones ranging from 126 to 200 pallets per room

  • Forced air cooling, capacity 32 CHEP pallet or 40 export skids

  • QC Greenlight Quality Control reporting

  • BarTender Software including SSC Labelling capability

  • Restacking

  • Import/export container loading/unloading and de-stuffing

Accreditations & Quality Assurance

  • AQIS registered for Export to protocol markets
  • HACCP Food Safety (moving to HARPS by December 2018)

  • CCTV in place across all AEC warehouses
  • 24/7 back to base monitoring on all AEC cold and plant equipment rooms
